I currently work as a Sr. Technical Marketing Architect at VMware. Before this, I have worked in similar Technical Marketing roles within the storage industry at other companies such as Datrium (now part of VMware), Nimble Storage (now part of HPE), Data Domain (now part of DELL / EMC), Veritas (formerly part of Symantec), EMC and Scale Computing.

My motivation comes from working in the early stage efforts of companies introducing innovative technologies. This has enabled me to cover some very interesting, timely and topical areas such as: software defined storage, virtualization, data protection, disaster recovery , deduplication, hybrid and all flash arrays and now cloud and converged architectures.

Some of my key areas of focus have been around application support, performance testing and virtualization technologies. New technology is always interesting to play with but putting that into real productive use and action while looking for easier, better, and less expensive (cheaper) has been the goal of the storageidealist.

The thoughts, ideas and topics presented here are my own and have evolved over years of working with some of the best minds and solutions in the data center market space.
